Mythic Showdown is a 1v1 fighting game with unique character styles inspired by mythology in stunning environments. To further push the idea of mythology, every character has two variations: Myth and Legend. Providing characters with two distinct ways of being portrayed.

2. Blade

Theo Ken’Ichi

Theo Ken’ichi is the main character in the story, and he is inspired by dragons.

The second variation is where Theo is broken after Asahi’s death. Instead of continuing the path Asahi helped pave, he connects more with his dragon roots, which allows for more fire-based and aggressive attacks.

Theo’s canon variation is Legend, where he fights as a martial artist trained by his sensei, Asahi. During an attack on their training, Theo and Asahi prevailed, but Asahi died soon after. Carrying his mentor’s teachings, Theo continues to walk the path of discipline.

Blade

Blade is an antagonist based on Excalibur with a twist. Their sword can switch between a sword and a long-ranged rifle.

For Blade’s variations, I wanted to explore two distinct narrative paths. The version represented by their more casual outfit envisions a Blade who, after being betrayed by a trusted comrade, abandons their military post and becomes a contracted killer driven by vengeance.

How Blade’s Rifle (Thunder Bolt Rifle — TBR) would swap from Duelist Mode (Sword Mode) to Marksman Mode (Gun Mode).

Blade’s TBR (Thunder Bolt Rifle), has gotten a design update to make it make more sense in blade mode.

Their second variation has Blade continue down their military path—a path where the betrayal never happened. While only one variation would exist in canon, both would be playable in the actual game.
